Discover Isla Negra

Isla Negra isn't an island: it's a stretch of the central coast where Pablo Neruda built his favourite home, now a house museum. The poet and Matilde Urrutia are buried there, facing the sea.

The surrounding coastline of rocks, coves and viewpoints is made for unhurried exploring. If you'd like to combine your visit with Algarrobo or El Quisco using the SUV by the hour, we arrange it on a personalized basis.

Places of interest

  • Casa Museo Isla Negra

Neruda's home, with his collections of figureheads, bottles and sea objects. Admission is purchased separately.

  • Rocky shore and viewpoints

Dark rocks and crashing waves that explain the place's name.

  • El Quisco

A nearby beach town with a seafront and a fishing cove.

  • Algarrobo

Calm beaches and a coastline made for walking.

These are places you can visit on your own. Tickets, tours and activities are not included in the transfer: you book and pay for them directly.

FAQ about Isla Negra

What does the transfer include?

A private SUV transfer with a driver from Santiago to Isla Negra, exclusively for your group and with the luggage you specify. It does not include tickets, tours, tastings, activities, meals, equipment rental or guides.

What's the difference between one way and round trip?

With “One way” we take you from Santiago to Isla Negra. With “Round trip” we also pick you up in Isla Negra on the return date and time you choose and drop you off at your pick-up point. If you'd rather have the vehicle at your disposal by the hour, that service is arranged on a personalized basis.

Can I visit several places?

Yes, with the hourly service, which is arranged on a personalized basis. The places we suggest are ideas: how many you can visit depends on time, traffic and how long you spend at each one.

Are tickets and activities included?

No. Turisline only provides the transfer. You book and pay for tickets, tours, tastings and activities directly at each place. The service is not a guided tour.

What should I keep in mind before visiting Isla Negra?

The house museum has closing days and limited capacity, so check its official website and buy tickets in advance. The rocks can be slippery: stay away from the edge when the waves are high.
